Comedy fans, rejoice — and possibly run away screaming. A new movie titled Monty Python VI: Return of the Circus has been officially announced and is expected to premiere sometime in 20??, depending on how many coconuts are required to fund production.

The surviving members of the legendary troupe are said to be collaborating on the script via a series of absurdly long Zoom calls, punctuated by arguments over whether the movie should include more dead parrots, fewer dead parrots, or simply be a dead parrot itself.

“We wanted to return to our roots,” said an anonymous source who may or may not have been a man in a dress. “But unfortunately, we forgot where our roots were, so we’re just improvising until something funny happens.”

Rumors suggest that the film’s plot centers on the modern-day reincarnation of the Ministry of Silly Walks, rebranded as a startup called SillyWalk.io, which seeks venture capital funding to digitize absurdity. Sources close to the project confirm that at least one scene involves a giant foot stepping on an NFT.

When asked if the movie would feature any callbacks to their earlier work, one Python reportedly replied, “This entire film is a callback. We’re all callbacks. Existence is a callback.”

Fans are already speculating whether Return of the Circus will include the long-lost Holy Grail, a reanimated spam sketch, or a musical number about the meaning of life in the metaverse. Producers declined to comment, stating only, “It’s just a flesh wound.”

Whether it arrives in theaters, streaming, or via a man shouting the script through your letterbox, one thing is certain — the Pythons are back, and they’re still completely ridiculous.
